These are Finnish cinnamon rolls. The mother and child is based on my friend in Ann Arbor, Heather and her son Cedar. The girl with the blue jacket is based on my sister. I used a drawing of my father for the elderly man. The young man is loosely based on my relatives. I wanted to show a happy, unconventional family. I think I was myself quite lonely at the time. |
