This is a painting of Heather and Thomas and young Cedar yet to come. I am basing it after my favorite Rembrandt painting called The Jewish Bride. I remember seeing it for the first time in the Rijksmuseum and being brought to tears. There is so much tenderness between the couple—perhaps sadness too. Here I want to show them looking toward the future.
